Been a while since I updated my journal and I'm bored so...meh...
How long have you been on DeviantArt?
Seven years...jeeze has it really been that long?
What does your username mean?
Oh God! It's so stupid and I hate it! I was an angsty fifteen-year-old when I made that and I thought I was being edgy and mysterious. Now I don't know how to change it and I hate giving out my deviantart name to people because it's so embarrassing!
Describe yourself in three words.
Barely functioning dork
Are you left or right handed?
What was your first deviation?
A really stupid poem because, again, I was an angsty fifteen-year-old...
What is your favourite type of art to create?
Cartoony illustrations and comics. Generally things with a lot of characterization.
If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?
For personal use: costume making, for professional use: typography...because apparently that's the only thing an artist can get a job doing in my area...
What was your first favourite?
What type of art do you tend to favourite the most?
Usually fan art from the things I like, or things with really good color and anatomy. Also a lot of tutorials...basically anything I can learn from.
How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?
No one in particular or any specific event that I can name, but just people that I've been following since I first joined DA and seeing how their work has improved so much over the years and really feeling inspired by them.
What are your preferred tools to create art?
My wacom tablet and photoshop are my normal weapons of choice, but I do really like using pen and ink.
What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?
Honestly, any place where I can be alone. If I try to actually go out and draw someplace, I get distracted by the things around me. If it's a place with people I always freeze up and can't think of anything to draw because I'm so nervous about someone looking over my shoulder and seeing what I'm drawing and I worry about what they think of it. My social anxiety makes things more difficult than they have to be most times...
What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?
One time years ago I wrote a really ranty journal, thinking I was just venting to the vast abyss of the internet and nobody would actually care. Then I got all these encouraging comments and it was very touching. People I had never met before in my life were concerned about me. I was just floored by the amount of support and kindness on this site, and I still am. I'll always remember that.
